On November 18th, 2016, Jerome Henin of the Henin Group, esteemed Congressman John Mica, local officials, the DeBary VFW Post 8093, and many guests honored Private First Class Theodore Rushing. On Veteran’s Day five years ago, at the age of 25, Teddy sacrificed his life to save his entire unit while in enemy territory in Afghanistan.
Jerome Henin was honored to be able to offer the naming of one of our main streets in Riviera Bella as Teddy Rushing Street.
Congressman Mica, who works diligently for our nation’s veterans and military retirees, gave an emotional and heartfelt message honoring Teddy Rushing and our nation’s veterans. The Rushing family was presented with the American Flag which was flown over our nation’s Capital Building on Veterans Day, 2016 in honor of PFC Teddy Rushing.
Riviera Bella was privileged to have The Honor Guard from our local VFW post 8093 in attendance at this dedication ceremony.
